Live music has been paused at Fillmore's for the reasons stated below but we appreciate your support & please let's count down the days until its return as this is what builds community, we thank you all for being a part of it 💚

 

I wanted to share the outcome of our recent court proceedings.

I am deeply grateful for the Magistrate for his kind and considered judgment, and for his acknowledgement that my focus in creating Fillmore’s has been about our community, and to support music and the arts.

I pleaded guilty to breaching the current Kiama NSW council sound conditions, LA10 which is a noise level measurement which both myself and other businesses in Kiama must comply with.

I am about to submit a DA application for Fillmore’s to allow live music to occur and to create thriving, livable spaces that meet the needs of residents and visitors. We hope to get this through in a timely fashion as we have a very detailed application all but ready to submit after we have been working on it for the past 7 months.

There will be a chance for public submissions during this process and we urge you to please voice your opinion to ensure we get the best outcome for our community.

For those of you who have experienced the space that we have created within Fillmore’s, I hope that you believe that it fosters a sense of community and encourages social interaction with the provision of an all-inclusive space. Many people come and spend time at Fillmore’s with their entire family including children + pets and I believe experience a space that recognises the richness of diversity within our community and the importance of embracing that difference. In 2023, we sought acknowledgement of public support and received over 2,500 signatures in less than 10 days and this is what motivates us to continue, thank you, its means so much.
